SUBJECT: pre-school/potty problem
My son wanted to go to pre-school so I enrolled him last year, assuming that he'd be potty trained by now. He just recently started showing an interest in training, but is not consistent and some days will just decide that he is not using the potty. He also waits too long to go and often doesn't make it to the potty. He is excited about school, but balks at having to use the potty to go to school. The preschool teacher thinks I should hold him back and let another child have his place, but they're willing to hold his place and have him start whenever he's trained if I pay the monthly tuition. The money is not a problem. I don't want to break my son's heart and he really is excited about school but not potty training. What should I do?
