Hi everyone, I'd just like to clear something up that has been bothering me about this website. When parents of toddlers to teens discuss the new trends of clothing (or lack of) and the new provocative dance movies they mostly blame the music industry and females like Britney Spears. I am not a fan of Britney Spears but I think parents look at her in disgust as the leader of some slutty colt trying to lure their children into a life full of shame. Do no blame the music industry. Britney Spears did not say that her music was meant for preteens and teens. Britney Spears is a woman. She can dress however she wants and not be blamed for peoples children. She like most others in the world are now moving on to sexier clothing because face it, the world is obsessed with sex, whether they dream of it, enjoy it, or look down on it. She was placed (by others in the music industry) as a singer for young girls because of her age, her young girlish looks, her pop status, and her fame. If an R&B singer of about 24 yrs of age wore the same exact clothing as Britney did the world wouldn't be any different. Just because A) aparrently 24 makes her a representative for the late teen and twenties crowd, B)she is accepted as a woman not a girl, C) she sang R&B and D) she wasn't as famous as Spears. Also Spears is known as a wannabe while the R&B singer IS sex and experiencing it unlike little miss home girl virgin Spears. So this all centers down to one fact:

You can not blame your child's individuality or likes in clothing on one individual, a section of individuals, or anyone at all for that matter. They are influenced by people they wish to be like, whether it's their grandmother or a rock superstar. The people who influence them do not target age groups, but children listen to music meant for a group much older then them.

If you have read this entire message I thank you very much. I would also like to know what you have to say on this topic. I would GREATLY appreciate it. Please it will only take a minute.

Thank you very much for your time,
