I am a child of going in early and I had a very hard time in school dealing with the other children. I was held back in first grade upon my mothers request, her feeling that I wasn't ready to go on to the 2nd grade. The school fought it but my mom just wouldn't give in. I feel it was the best thing she could have done for me. I was then later in 5th grade tested as an enlightened child. They want me to skip ahead to the 7th grade mom said no way. I worked above my grade level but in the same class room as my peers. I've seen first hand what can happen when you 13 or 14 when you enter high school. It happened to my nephew. Just let your child be a child, they will never have this time again.
