IN REPLY TO: moving for the third year in a row

I feel for you and for your daughter. I changed schools 13 times growing up, and I know it has adversely affected my ability to make lasting relationships with my peers. Moving is not your fault. Is there someone she can stay with that you trust? Is there a way you can all move together but plan visits to her old friends on a regular basis as she makes new friends to make the transition easier? Maybe you can ask her what her suggestions are. Help her think through the practicality of the solutions. And above all, acknowledge to her how hard it is without trying to solve the problem for a while. Best wishes...
