 | OK so lets get this straight, grrls shouldnt wear what they want because guys can't manage to keep their hormones under control? That is not right. Just to get one thing straight, I would never ever wear anything like the clothes in style right now, my usual school style is a band t-shirt, some baggy jeans, and my converse hightops. I agree that the revealing clothes are degrading but I believe if a girl wants to send that message she has every right to do so. Just because you are in highschool does not make you less of a person. In my city there was a law suit over a boy wearing a shirt that said "VEGAN" on it because that is supposed to be some sort of gang, I have been vegan for over a year and it is not gang related. The administration doesnt do their research before outlawing things, the reason they had a problem with veganism is they associated it with the Straightedge "gang". I get in trouble at school for my "anti-flag" t-shirt and my "vegan" shirts, if kids can wear CTR rings and other religous messages, or anything that advertises their morals, I intend to also voice my oppinions morals and beliefs. I also have been asked to take my lip and septum piercing out for school, I put my septum up but my lip needs to heal still. It is not distracting to anyone its a little stud that is clear. I guess my point is that no one should need to live up to anyone elses standards, the grrls should wear clothing to cover their bodies because of their own morals not because someone tells them to. |
