 | I would like for you to go shopping at any store geared at teens (young women), and I am sure you will find nothing but skimpy shorts, low cut shirts, and tight clothing ect... Take it from me, a women, who knows for a fact that shopping can be the biggest hassle in the world. And I would like to say that I would wear longer shorts and better fitting shirts, but it is not what sells, therefore the stores DO NOT carry it. I have tried to do something about it... I have talked to an area Kohl's executive, and she explained that they will only carry what sells, and if skimpy sells, well you get my point. Dress codes don't frustrate teens, it is the fact that it is made into such an issue and stores and brands do nothing to promote more proper fitting clothing that we get mixed messages. Idols or the people who young women emulate also do not help the situation. It is not our fault... and for you to say we WANT the attention is obserd, of course there are exceptions. But as a well rounded, all their, average women I can say that we, just as men should be allowed to express ourselves just as any side of the gender spectrum should be allowed. And if a women wants to show it off let her, but belt your hormones down and try to look at it from our side. But believe me when I say their are well rounded girls who know right from wrong, and if the option is put in front of them to dress with class, then I assure you there are those who would. But what is class, as men are allowed to explore their sexuality by renting sexually explicite videos and purchasing playboy magazines, give women a chance to feel sexy once in awhile, while dressing with class and still being allowed to wear a higher skirt once in a while and a lower cut shirt, then maybe the battle wouldn't be so full blown out. |
