SUBJECT: Activities That Stimulate Both Sides of the brain
Children who are encouraged to and do participate in activites requiring use of both hands will more likely to access both sides of their brain. FOR EXAMPLE, Playing the Piano, Flute or other instruments; Not excluding activities such as Gymnastics or dancing. These types of stimulation Carry forth the importance of infant crawling.

As much as crawling is important in developing right-left brain coordination, so are These other activities. They reguire cooperation between both hands and/or feet. Also, performance anxieties are decreased thus children become better test takers, meet challenges and so forth.

Working with Gifted Children and Being gifted myself I have found the above to be the one common denominator between these children and myself. You see I am right handed as were an equal majority of my students.

Having taught in a gifted program for years I recognized that i had a signifigantly larger group of left handed children.(From 1/3 to 1/2 of the class)This vs. maybe 1 to 5 ina regular classroom. High Math scores was a requirement for being admitted into the program; I had 5th graders doing pre Algebra and Algebra.
