My daughter is now 4 1/2 months and she has been sleeping in her crib since she was several weeks old. Can't recall exactly when I put her in there at night, but like you I did start getting her used to it during her daytime nights. When we first arrived at home she slept in the bassinet next to our bed only because she was up every 2 hours so it made feedings a lot easier. But even then I did experiment every now and then by putting her in her crib at night. She's never given me a problem. Everyone warned me how difficult it would be later on if I didn't get her used to it. The monitor we have is terrific, I can hear her sucking her pacifier clearly so I feel confident that I'll be able to hear her cries. Hope this helps.
