I agree with you in regards to the schooling. I had an experience with my son last year when he was eight where the school wanted to put him the class for children who had more severe problems. I went to my family physician after reading up on all I could find on ADHD. He currently is on medication that has changed him tremendously. Not only is he more focused but he also has friends now where as before he had difficulty making friends. His grades also improved from C's and D's to A's and B's and his self esteem has increased. I don't always agree with putting children on medication but I tried alot of herbal items and cutting back on the sugar intake but it just didn't work. I also have found out that there are alot of people out there going through the same thing and I was relieved to find out I wasn't the only one. My son acts more like a normal 9 year old now and I see it in him and also the people around him.
