| Thank you for your response. I couldn't believe when I read your message because that is almost exactly what I did. Someone mentioned the word "encopresis" to me, so I looked it up, found a pediatric gastroenterologist, and he set me up with Miralax as a daily stool softener, but first had me clean him out with Senokot (like you said). I did the regular sittings, the calendar chart so I could keep track of timing, progress, accidents, etc. I did the reward thing using tickets (when you get 5 tickets you get a prize). He really enjoyed cashing them in. Now he is no longer constipated so I took him off Miralax. He still has some accidents, but we're definately on the right road. Now if I can just get him night trained. Any suggestions??? :) |
