IN REPLY TO: Girl wants to be a boy
AUTHOR: EvrE1sMom
I am 16 now, but when I was younger I acted like the little girl you described. I had short hair and wore boys clothes, even boxer shorts! I refused to do anything "girlie" and talked in a deeper voice so that people would mistake me for a boy. My family says that they thought I truly wished to be a boy. In the fourth grade, I went out shopping and bought all new girl's clothes. I grew out my hair and got a crush on a little boy in my class. I was an extreme "girlie girl" from then through middle school. I wanted all the clothes, make-up, and nail polish in the mall. I had slumber parties and decorated my room with pictures of "cute boys". Now I am a pretty normal girl. I'm not too prissy, but I like to look good. I have a boyfriend and I'm comfortable with my sexuality and all. I definitely am not homosexual or anything. So, if the girl you described is anything like me, she will grow out of it when she starts puberty and everything will be all right.
