AUTHOR: bzzeebee | | | I really feel for you. If you can go through with tough love, please let me know how you did it. My 18 year old sounds similiar to yours. As far as his dogs go, there must be many other parents out there in the same situation. My son hangs with the same 15 kids and the whole bunch are just like you described your son. I wish I had the answers but I don't. Someone told me to buckle up my seat belt and go for the ride! There son is 23 and still going through this turmoil. The drugs on the streets today have a lot to do with there way of thinking. Peer pressure!!! They want to be a part of it all. Hopeful they all grow up and without any harm to themselves or others in their path to adulthood. It's scary out there for us and them. My son is counseled out. I have lost control over that part of his life when he turned 18. I try to work on myself more and let go of him, but it hurts when it's your only child and I have to see him go down that path. I was a horror as a child, how about you? Not that it makes thing right, but I find that I have more tolerence remembering what it was like for me. | |  | |
