hi, i took my son trick or treating when he was around 2, just to kinda expose him to the holiday, but i havent since, im just afraid that some weirdo may do something to the candy. it is possibe to contaminate the candy or fruit that is handed out and you may never suspect it. i remember growing up how bad halloween was. sickos used to put glass in candy and pins in fruit. the holiday itself just doesnt sit well with me. anyhow there were alot of children at my door last year. i think people generally know that the holiday is for kids to enjoy, for goodness sakes, everyone is handing out sweets, for nothing. just be very careful and look at wrappings, dont eat any fruit or home made candies or cookies. throw out any candies that seem melted or the wrapper is hard to come off. youd like to think that people wouldnt do anything to hurt the kids, but you never know. perhaps, go to your local mall to trick or treat. no private residences. good luck!!!

p.s. i know this may seem strange, but i hand out packs of kool-aid, pencils, little knick knacks too, just an idea.
