Actually Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen are fraternal twins not identical. Recently I have found articles that they now believe that some (not all) lefties are genetic. Same as we are genetically composed to be a hieght between our parents and some people are taller or shorter than both their parents. Also not to discredit you, but it's hard to know if previous generations were left handed because they were "taught" to use their right hand but the gene is still there. My grandfather was supposed to be left handed but his hand was tied to his chair behind him.
