I totally agree with you cathliccat. I have a two year old and he loves to help out. He picks up his toys before bed. I don't even care if they get into his toy box as long as they get into his room out of the doorway. He also puts away his dirty clothes, either in the washer or on the bathroom floor. Close enough for me to do wash. It's funny because my husband has a bad habit of leaving his dirty clothes on the bedroom floor and my son will drag them to the washer or to the bathroom. My son also helps put away his sippy cups which we store in a cupboard at his height. I am sorry but there is no reason that her children can't help out with the little things. She also needs to have a on one with her husband about helping out around the house. I am a stay at home Mom and let me tell you when I need help I ask. My husband works full time Monday through Friday but he knows that when I need help it's because I really need help. We sat down awhile back and talked about it. I said it would be great if you can keep our son busy while I cook dinner and sometimes I sneak out of the house or into the shower to get some alone time. Hey it works if you make it work. Good luck to all of you and ask for help when you need it. Loving Wife and Mother of a Toddler with one on the way.
