| Hi, I've been following this post for a long time. I refferred my friend to it. She has an almost 4 yr old dd and she had been demanding a pull up to go poop. (She was the reason when I potty trained my dd I skipped the whole pull up idea.)
Well after reading all your posts, she went home and told her dd, we're alll out of pullups so go in the potty so we can go outside. She left her in the bathroom and waited outside holding her breath. It took 45 minutes but she did it. My friend says that she was pleased but the dd was ecstatic, so proud, kept yelling I did it, I did it!!
When I asked why she thought it worked, she said she knew herself that there would be no more pullups, and her dd who knows her very well, knew it too.
I threw away panties for 3 days, but they are cheaper than pullups. If my dd had a setback,(she's starting preschool in the fall), I already know it will never be back to pull ups.
I wonder how everyone is doing months afterward and wish that the ones that have been successful since their post would come back to share their story.
By the way, I'm not showing off, because my dd potty trained easily, but if all the posts are from people having trouble, there's a lot of sympathy but few solutions. I read these posts always alert to the problems that can be just a quirk away. My dd is not even 3, lots of things can still go wrong especially in the dreaded potty training arena :0)
