Congratulations!!! My mom doesn't like being called Grandma either. My daughter (and her other 3 grandchildren) all call her Mom Mom. She likes that better - got rid of the "granny" part.

I love sharing every minute of my daughter's life with my mom. I'm always sharing happy stories with her as well as the bad (cuts, bruises, etc). I was so excited about becoming a mom with her that I wanted her all to myself and told my mom I was ok - didn't need help. Boy, did that come back to bite me. I regretted it totally. My mom was like you - didn't want to interfere. Well, let me tell you, my second is due in September and I'm taking every helping hand I can get. Hope I helped you.
