| I"ve been going thru a similar rebellion with my daughter who's almost 4. I have her in pull ups because she'll usually pee on the pot. But if she's already pooped in her pant, she'll definitely pee in the pull up because she doesn't want to use the toilet with poop in her pants. I got tired of washing out 3-4 pair of underwear a day. She's been using the pot to pee for about 1 year. I tried every rewards candy stickers, books, stories, showing her my poop, Spoke with the pediatrician,( she said lay off for a while), put her in her bed after she pooped in the pants, She's rather play or watch a video instead of telling us that she has to go. I also did the bathroom diary to track her habits. She generally poop in the pm 1-3 times a day. I've told her no playdates etc., if she continues to poop in her pants.
I work p/t and have 2-3 different sitters. I think this is part of the problem. She refuses to go bottomless. I thought that might help. She also kicks and screams sometimes, to go into the bathroom to be cleaned up. She'll release the poop if her sits on the pot but not really push it out. With camp starting next month I've run out of training options. I've taken her out of 2 preschools because the bowel movements in the pull up became an issue. HELP |
