 | Well, when I was in high school, being on a student council and making an all out attempt to correct blatant injustices like that. There's one justification to all of it:
"We can't let on person (topic of discussion here) if someone else can't do it"
I'm sure if you were allowed to wear a short skirt, that some little snobby preppy would go cry a river in front of the principal or guidance councelor, even though it is her own kinda that makes it difficult to allow these kinds of clothing, etc..for everyone. Black lipstick and blue hair should be allowed to be worn, Girls and guys of all styles dye their hair or bleach it blond or frost tips, or whatever. Same with lipstick. That is a very shaky topic. Everything gothic or alternative, like trench coats, even baggy jeans and shirts that do'nt say "abercrombie and fitch" or "AE Sport" or anything else out of trend are banned because they foster a wrong kind of image. Ever since the Columbine Shooting's (which gave attention seeking kids a hero or two per se). That's why school uniforms come into play. But even then someone twists it and causes a problem. I understand where you're coming from. Blue hair should be no problem if Red or Electric Yellow (like I had) were acceptable in a boarding school.
