i held my son back on the advice of kindergarden teachers. he was 6 when he started kindergarden (july birthday) i recently saw a "birthday list" of children in his class, i was shocked to find 12 children older than him. It seems to me that now teachers are pushing for children to be 6 when they start kindergarden. It was a hard choice, but i have never regretted it.
