SUBJECT: HELP!
I HAVE AN ELEVEN YR OLD DAUGHTER WITH ADHD, SHE IS DOING WONDERFUL IN SCHOOL, SHE CURRENTLY TAKES ADDERAL. MY PROBLEM IS AT HOME IT IS A WHOLE DIFFERENT STORY-SHE BACK TALKS, THINKS THAT I SHOULD PAY OR GIVE HER SOMETHING FOR EVERYTHING THAT SHE DOES EXAMPLE-GETTING UP FOR SCHOOL, GETTING DRESSED EATING BREAKFEST SHE THINKS THAT I SHOULD PAY HER FOR THAT. I REFUSE AND THEN I AM THE MEANEST MOM AROUND. I'VE TRIED TALKING TO HER TO LET HER KNOW THAT U DON'T GET PAID FOR DOING WHAT YOUR SUPPOSE TO DO. WELL THEN SHE IS MAD AT ME, THAT DOES NOT BOTHER ME AS MUCH AS HER BEING DIS-RESPECTFUL AND NON-APPRICATE OF WHAT I DO FOR HER. SOME TIMES I THINK THAT SHE FEELS THAT SHE IS THE PARENT. I AM OPENING FOR ANY SUGGESTIONS ON HOW TO HANDLE HER BEHAVIOR! THANKS
