Don't ever call yourself a stupid or bad mother. I've had a kitchen floor moment with my husband and luckily none of the kids came down to witness it. Just because your son happened to be in the wrong place at the wrong time is just too bad. Keep telling him that his father was NOT hurting you, tell him what you were doing is a way that married mommys and daddys show each other how much they love each other, and then try to explain very simply that it feels very good when you do that. It'll just take time, good luck.
