hi, things have really gotten better. I tried the advice on this website. If she slides the straps behind her when we are driving I pull over into a parking lot and tell her we are not moving until her seatbelt is on properly! She likes that word now!! Also I told her a story of when she was 3 months old and a driver never looked our way and pulled right out in front of us and we hit the car. Everyone was ok but Grammy because she did not have her seatbelt on properly. ( Grammy hurt her thumb!) She very rarely slides the strap behind her. As for not getting into the seat at all.....that has gotten better also. She races her 6 month old brother to see who gets into the seat first!! Of course she almost always wins. So far she isn't bored with that! When she does get bored we will have to come up with something else.Hopefully she waits until after summer!!!!We live in a hot climate area and with my luck she will get bored after I just purchased groceries!!! As for the post office......I haven't taken her back!!!!!!It was a very embarrassing day!!!!! She remembers the place very well. The other day I had to pull into that parking lot to fix her seatbelt, and she asked to go to the postoffice!!!!I told her it closed!!!!!!
Also I packed up some toys, books, and music that stays in the car for me to distribute once she gets in the seat. She really likes to do the books on tape. We go to the library once a week to check these out. They are great for the car trips.....and you can go on longer trips!!!!! GOODLUCK!!!!!
