SUBJECT: No TV?
My daughter is 17 mos old and was adopted from an orphanage in China at 10 mos. I don't want her to watch a ny television until she's older, but my mother has been nagging me to let her watch Sesame Street. Now, I'm glad that this is the only thing my parents and I disagree on so far--but it's starting to get on my nerves. I don't feel it's necessary for her to watch TV until she's a few years old... but my mother thinks I'm depriving her of some necessary cultural exposure. I'm curious to hear from people whose kids haven't watched TV until older--did it make any difference either way?
