Dear Pamompa:
I have an almost four year old boy who likes to use the carseat thing as a control issue. He makes a game of it, he will jump in the car, lock all the doors and sit in a regular seat. We have had many battles getting from here to there, too. It is really embarassing, because he yells, stiffens up, runs away, locks the doors, etc. I can totally understand what you are saying! My husband found that physically carrying him to the car, having him strap in his bear before him getting strapped in is helping. He still has to argue and be mean, and continue to kick the window, though. I find that if I sit in the seat beside bear and him and have him watch me buckle up too, he feels better that we all have to go through being pinned to our chairs for a few minutes. And believe me, that is all I have the patience for anymore, are very short car trips! Only if I have to! Hope that helped some!
Love, Totally over it
