SUBJECT: Latchkey kids
I am a single parent with two children ages 13 and 10. I live by paycheck to paycheck and don't have the extra cash to pay for child care for my youngest. I need to leave him alone for an 1 1/2 till he has to leave for school. He is not ready for this but I have no choice.It is $21 just for morning care and for after school care it is much more. I work 10 hours shifts so I informed my children that they would have to help out and my daughter needs to watch her brother for 2 1/2 hours after school. I also told her when i get some money, I would pay her a little for watching her brother. Both of them fight constantly, and wont do their chores like they were told. What should I do. I have no other income but my own and all I have is enough to pay my house payment for two weeks.
I would appreciate some advise. Thank you.
