hi lilboy! mind you, we are still working on it everyday. some days are good and some are not(like today, for instance...he slept a total of 2.5 hours from 7:30 am till 5:30 pm...yikes!

my son is now 7 1/2 weks old...i know you can't spoil an infant, but i do not think this will harm him..i'm following a book by dr. weisbluth..i highly suggest it. i started because i noticed that after 1 1/2 hours he got totally overtired and was a maniac. the books theory is that a baby should wake, feed and play..staying up no more than 2 hours. i was already doing things in that order. really, get the book..read it and follow the suggestions..it was recommended to me and it has worked for many babies i know. it will be hard, especially your situation..but he addresses all of that.
again, my honey is still working on it and their are any a times i cry. but, when you know they are diped, wiped, fed and burped, he needs sleep...i do go in every 15 minutes, burp him, put in the pacifier and then soothe his forehead. somedays, he falls on his own before the time is up..others, he carries on and off for the whole time and then it's time to feed again(i bottle feed) and try to start over.
good luck!
