SUBJECT: Phobia of Thunderstorms
My 8 y.o. daughter has recently developed a terrible fear of thunderstorms and tornadoes. Since we live in Texas we can't get away from these types of weather and it's always on radio and TV. She's constantly asking if it's going to rain and she will sneak and listen to the weather channel all the time. It's gotten to the point where she won't leave the house if she thinks for one minute that it's going to rain! It's driving my husband and I crazy. We've tried talking to her and reassuring her, but to no avail. Any suggetions?
