my daughter is just about 7 weeks old and i feel like you are telling my story!!!!!everyone including the dr suggested trying to keep her up longer durung the day, but if your child is like mine, it is just about impossible to wake her up untill shes ready. after any stimulating activities, shes just goes back to sleep!!!!!!!! however my daughter did start turning herself around a couple of weeks ago, and she sleeps most of the night, ofcourse still waking up for feedings, and shes up alot more durring the day. one thing i did keep doing even though it didn't seem to work at first, was making the house a lot brighter during the day and darker at night. also during the harder times when i really wasn't sleeping at all my husband would come home on friday nights eat dinner, and then i would go to sleep untill like 1 am, which helped me alot!!! then hed sleep in on sat. mornings. eventually when he wake me at 1, i would feed her and then shed go back to sleep for another 3 hours or so, which was the best!!!!!! good luck!!!
