SUBJECT: concerned that grandaughter is not eating and sleeping enough
I am concerned that my 10 month old grandaughter is not eating as much as she should at her age. She was born very small (she weighed 5 pounds)and had a reflux problem for the first two months. She is presently taking a daily average of 20 oz. of soy based infant formula, and about 2 jars of solid baby food. But most of the time she is finnicky and rejects what she is offered. She is sort of skinny (I think she is weighing around 15 pounds), but according to the doctor she is healthy. She is very active (since she started crawling she won't let us hold her in our arms for more than 5 minutes at a time). Also, because of her parent's routine (they have many social events going on) and because of her mother working (and she is taken to a baby sitter every day), she doesn't sleep much during the day, and most nights she wakes up once or twice. I am concerned that all this may affect her health or stunt her growth.
Will someone please give me your input on this situation? Thank you.
Tita
