Hi Mommytomiles,
my son, (now 3mo) sleep in his car seat up until he was 2mos. Same thing would happen. If we laid him down, he'd wake up. So, he sleep in his car set. I'd put it in the bassinet, on our bed, in his crib. I always felt bad because he looked so scrunched up but I think they feel secure in the seat all cuddled up. One day he just outgrew it. He also loves to sleep on his stomach. I let him do that for naps which I check on him several times. Everytime I'd put him on his back, he'd wake up. He doesn't on his stomach. I keep a close eye on him when he is on his stomach. At the momment, he sleeps in our bed. I want to break him of that which I've tried but have not been successful yet. I don't have to heart to let him "cry it out" yet. From what I've read everyone says...do what works for you. Many babies sleep in there wings, bouncy chairs, what ever works. My son never did like this bassinet, play pen, swing, bouncy chair or his crib. I think our bed is so soft compared to there's. And we know why...even for naps he sleeps on our bed. In due time, hopefully he will like his bed. Good luck to you!
