Need homeopathic headlice removal suggestions

I have a neice whom I adore however the child always has headlice and has passed it on to me and both of my children. My sister has been battling this since August it is now April.
Her pediatrician keeps giving her over the counter and prescriptions and my sister has followed all the procedures cleaned everything and yet nothing seems to work. She is frustrated I am frustrated because I can not keep treating all of our heads the treatment gets expensive .
My daughter has hair down to her butt and for that hour of playing with my precious neice she has to go through hours of getting her head checked after my neice leaves. Any old wivestales or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
Plus I think my neice has built up an immunity to the treatment because she has it done so often.
I once heard an old lady say camphor oil on the head but yuck!!!!!!! and I do not know how safe that would be. Please help Just a tip she has already tried mayonnaise and butter and cholesterol none of that has worked.
