If you are doing your homework and chores and everything you need to be doing I don't see why you can't go out and practice with your band. Does she ever come and hear you guys play??? If not, I think you should tell her to come and watch you some time so she can see that you really love what your doing. I wish you the best and I hope that you and your mom can come to some kind of understanding. Do you have any little brothers or sisters??? I know my kids love to get paid for babysitting, but tell her in exchange for every week of band practice you will baby sit your siblings for one weekend night when they want to go out. Maybe she feels that, yes, you are doing everything you need to do for YOU, but your not helping her out... make sure to offer some help. Moms love that... or I know I do. | |  | |
