I'm left-handed and so is my husband. Our 9-year old daughter is right-handed.

At first I was disappointed when she started showing her right-handed tendencies at an early age but I got over it quickly when I reflected about how much easier everything would be for her. I remember arriving for chemistry tests early in college in order to get one of the few left-handed desks in the lecture halls, even then (this was over 20 years ago) there were more of us lefties than there were left-handed desks.
