I noticed my daughter was left-handed by the time she started feeding herself. I never tried to stop her or force her a different way. And, i never ran into any problems with her education either.
Acutally, because she is lefthanded in a right handed world, she has learned to accomodate both hands. The greatest thing she did was learn the violin, which is a right handed instrument. She worked hard to learn it, and now is pretty much ambidextous in everything..except writing.
