I told him to go in his bedroom if he wants to touch himself, it's not something to do in front of others. It's absolutely normal. I read the reply where someone suggested that you tell your daughter you will check on her to see if she's doing it, and to check on her at a different time every night. That's a horrible thing to do to a child! It's not dirty or abnormal, and if you make her think she's doing something wrong, she won't feel comfortable communicating with you later when real sexual issues come up in her life. Just don't make a big issue out of it, because it's really not a big issue. As long as she understands that it is private behavior, she will be fine. If you are uncomfortable with your daughter developing sexual feelings, maybe you are the one with a problem. |
