Our oldest son did not display a preference even at kindergarten. He's 9 now and writes with his right hand but could easily write with his left with practice and experience (neither is at grade level) He eats and drinks with whichever hand is closer to the instrument. Fork in right hand, glass in left or vice versa. Brushes his teeth with both hands. Throws right, bats left, kicks left, right eye dominant. In testing, his fine motor skills are lacking although he is fairly proficient in athletics. I would talk with a occupational therapist sooner than later. Last year at age 8, the OT at our son's school suggested that maybe he should be writing left handed. We asked the same question at age 5. Being semi-ambidextrous has been more frustrating to him I think than having a dominant handedness.
