 | Hon, it's not your age. This is VERY common among ALL women of ALL ages after giving birth. Most likely your mother, grandmother and so on dealt with the same things however it was "taboo" to say a thing.
My girlfriend and I were just discussing this tonight. She had her daughter 15 months ago and has absolutely NO drive. I have three and after my first two, my sex drive hit the floor but my husband kept on ticking LOL
Don't be ashamed, embarressed or surprised. At your next GYN or visit to your primary physician, (if you don't have one coming up, MAKE AN APPT.) talk to your doctor. There are various medications that you don't have to take for a long time- to get you back to yourself.
Would I be totally off if I were to say that you are a little depressed too? Or should I say, "not yourself"? I FULLY UNDERSTAND. I was there. For some reason, after my third, 6 months ago, I had my tubes tied and I'm back to my old self- something the hubby DEFINATELY noticed :)
In the meantime, go for a walk with the kids or exercise somehow. This will help you TREMENDOUSLY and have a glass of wine, make time for yourself and make time for your hubby- you BOTH need it- and the kids need you to be happy all around.
Best of luck to you! Feel free to email me: maureen@themomteam.com |
