explosive behavior in male teenagers

my 17 year old had been diagnosed with ADHD since he was 8 years old. I recently took him to a neurologist in Boise, Idaho who does deep brain wave imaging. He told us that he, my son, does NOT have ADHD but a type of cerebral dysrhythmia. His very electrically charged brain does not respond to stimulants and in fact he should not have those kindd of drugs. The doctor recommended antiseizure medication with more to follow if that did not curbed his explosions.
Does anyone have a child like this? Where do you get the right help and support?
Doctors in my state (MA) say this is VOODOO medicine and are not willing to understand that my son's behavior may look like ADHD but his brain waves do not.
Anyone who has had similar situation, please let me know.
