SUBJECT: cord is not falling off!
My son is three weeks old today and his umbilical cord stump has not fallen off, and does not even look like it is getting ready to. I always fold his diapers down to keep it uncovered and cleaning it with alcohol and a cotton swab at every diaper change. I have not given him a tub bath, only sponge baths. What else can I do? My daughter's stump fell off before two weeks, and I am concerned. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
