First born wants to know about father who died

When I was 24 I married and had one child when I was around 25, my husband died in a car accident before the baby was 10 mos. old. I married a year later, and now have 8 children with my current husband. My first born is now asking about his father who died. I never told my first born that he had a different father, and I don't know exactly how he found out, none of the other children know and I am not sure if I want to bring the whole family into this now... I don't really know what to do. I really do want to tell my first born about his father... but I'm not sure if it is a good idea. Any suggestions at all would help! Thanks!
