Should Dad talk to daughter about peuberty/menstral stuff?

My daughter is 9 and in the 3rd grade. She just went through the school's sex-ed class. Should I attempt to ask her what they taught her or explain what happens when she reaches that age? Mom is a little apprehensive about talking about it. Should Dad do it?
