 | I have read all of the replies. Having run the first certified daycare home in my state, I now run a church-related pre-school, daycare, and Christian school. As a parent, I chose a family daycare home. But that was 25 years ago. They are an unsafe bet today. We have had two family home deaths within the last ten days here. Daycare centers are not much better. The answer of choice is a church-run daycare center. Even then, CHECK REFERENCES AND CHECK CLOSELY. My staff is highly qualified, for example, the K-4 pre-chool teacher has Credentials I and II in this state, a B.A. is elementary education, and a Montesorri certificate. She is eminently qualified. This, however, is the exception to the rule. |
