SUBJECT: Explaining menstral cycle and puberty to my 9 year daughter
My daughter just turned 9 and everyone I talk to says that the girls are starting their cycles earlier now. Some as early as ten. I would like to explain all of this to my daughter before she gets her period for the first time, however, I'm not quite sure how to go about it. When and how do I start the conversation and what do I do to stop being so nervous about having this coversation with her? She has always been my baby, but she's growing up so fast. i would appriciate any suggestions you can give and any advice from moms who have or will have to be having this same discussion soon.
