SUBJECT: HELP!!!!! Drastic Change in 2 1/2 yr old daugher.
Over the past 2 weeks I've seen a dramatic change in my daughter. She used to be this very happy, bubbly, singing all the time daughter. Now, she is very quite, goes off in her own world and hates when strange people and even friends and family come over. Currently at preschool her teachers have both been out due to surgery and a death in the family and there are 2 new teachers aids with her. She has been crying when I leave her every day and she always asks if I am coming back and doesn't want me to go to work. We are currently going thru the potty training stage, could this be the problem???? One month ago her younger sister of 15 months has started attending her preschool, but they are not together, this might be the problem to????? I am desperate for some input from other parents who have gone thru the same thing or are having the same problems now!! I keep thinking the worst, like has someone hurt my daughter, do kids pick on her, or that dreaded question has someone touched her!!!!! I really need some help with this!!! Both my husband and I don't know what is going on, we are lost with what to do. We realize she is only 2 and may not what we are talking about if we ask her questions, she is very smart for her age. Do I take her to a pyschologist ( not sure on spelling) and risk scaring the day lights out of her or just give her a week and see how she does because both of her original teachers are coming back on monday to preschool??? I have talked to the preschool director and she stated some of her other classmates have been crying this week that they want their teachers Ms. Amanda and Ms. Monica back???? please give any comments you may have, I'm very desperate and want my bubbly little 2 1/2 yr old daughter back the way she was!!!!
