Thanks for the reply. I just feel my son is wasting so much precious time. My son and I have a very good relationship, but him and his father do not. They just seem very distant with each other. I really feel this has a lot to do with his problem in school, but on the other hand he is, old enough to take responsibility. I just can not get through to him. I take up for him, praise him, tell him how intelligent he is but nothing works. I worry about him constantly that he is going nowhere. I wish something would trigger his mind to get him motivated. He is well liked has lots of friends,and plays in a band,so it's not like he dosn't fit in. I do appreciate your response.
