Well, you're definetly not alone. My son is 27 months and he still needs mom and/or dad to lay with him until he falls asleep. I know part of the problem is that we didn't let him cry it out in his crib when he was a baby, but I couldn't stand to hear him scream, cry and ultimately hyperventilate!

He also refuses to get in his car seat (he wants to drive the car!), so naps are few and far between because that's the only way he takes a nap. I used to just lay him down in the afternoon watching a Pooh video and he'd drift off, but not anymore!

One thing I have noticed: My husband's been away on business this week and my son is much calmer at night and it's been taking him 5 minutes to fall asleep. He's even told me he was tired and wanted to go nite-nite (that's a first!). I'm not saying it's my husband's fault, but I think he stimulates him too much at night time because he hasn't seen him all day.

Iknow I'm not much of a help, but misery loves company!! Any suggestions?
