I have had ther Mirena iud for a year now and have probably only had two periods. I get cramps like every other month bad enough to take something but the whole not having a period doesnt really bother me. Mirena has hormones to stop your period and the Dr. told me this when I got it I just didnt expect it to stop so suddenly. And I know im not pregnant and i dont know anyone who has gotten preg. with an iud.
