| Hi--I am new here and was very excited to see several moms with 4 or more c-sections! I have searched the web for this subject before and come out empty-handed. My story is that I have a misshaped uterus called a septate uterus. I have had 4 babies (all breech) and 3 miscarriages. After my 4th baby, I had a tubal ligation (thinking it was the "right" thing to do) and became extremely depressed afterwards. After a lot of soul searching, we had a tubal ligation reversal--another surgery through same scar, but not into the uterus this time. As far as I know (and I am a labor & delivery nurse--not working presently), the risks of c-sections such as accreta could occur after any number of c-sections. I have been told by many doctors that it is safe to have more than four (of course, there is always risk). My doctor said that my uterus was in good shape. I also had scar tissue and some adhesions which were removed. However, does that all mean I am not nervous to do it again? No! I am totally nervous! But I really, really would love another baby, so I want to try so badly! I am presently trying to convince my husband. I am just really happy to find other women with multiple c-sections that I can talk to. Thanks so much for listening! |
