You may want to try several pacifiers in the crib so he has a better chance of finding one quicker b4 he is too awake. This helped my son sleep through the night. My son usually has 4 to 5. Believe it or not, it has also helped with his hand and eye coordination. He plays with them switching from one to the other when he awake. Sometime he has one in the mouth and one in each hand and then he switches them around.
